Better then expected

I ordered the crystal blue version with no SD Card. Once it arrived I fired it up and loaded my 256GB sd card of games and just simply WOW!! The screen is just simply eye popping. The games play great and very well. I would highly recommend purchasing.

One of my favorite handhelds to date!

I bought this to compare with the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro, and I absolutely love both devices! The comfort and ergonomics of the RG556 are some of the best I’ve ever seen with a handheld, and the screen is top notch as well. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

It’s almost great

From everything I saw my device seems to be a little slow and under powered but for the most part it all runs pretty smooth and feels great to bring around and play for a long time battery life is great overall pretty happy with it

Ottima Retroconsole

Soddisfatto dell’acquisto, potente, schermo grandissimo e di qualità. Tutti i giochi girano alla perfezione con poche eccezioni relative ad emulatori poco maturi.
Peccato solo per la troppa plasticosita.

A bit confusing if it's your first handheld emulator of this sort, but nonetheless AWESOME

This was my first handheld emulator and, oh my, it took me some time to figure things out. In summary:
- I had purchased a 1TB SanDisk SD card and all I got from it was constant errors and messagens to re-format it. Issue completely disappear when I bought a good Samsung EVO Plus 512GB card. It was more expensive than the first, but performance is great and it has proven to be very reliable.
- It took me some time to figure out how to make the roms show up when in retroarch mode. I haven't still figured out for Wii, btw. tl;dr, you need to use specific folder names - it doesn't auto-link format with the respective emulator. Confusing if you have never done that, but seems to be working as intended.
- Android mode is great! And performance is also great! However, I could not play Fortnite on it because Epic does not recognize the CPU model (which I blame on Epic, because the 556 has a processor way better than a lot of cellphones that run Fortine).
- Lastly, XBOX CLOUD GAMING! As it runs on Android 13, I was able to play XBOX games using cloud. There are some small issues, like some screens taking longer to load than others. But that's an issue that happened also when I tested xbox cloud gaming on a Samsung TV. So I guess it's not anbernic-related. Still, very playable for lots of games.
I would rate it a 4.7 because of how hard it was to figure out the roms folders part (I belive this should be clearer in the manuals). So rounding up to 5 stars.
